About the data

Where the information comes from

Each entry is compiled from publicly available sources, including the RCVS "Find a Vet" register and OpenStreetMap. We show only the details we hold for each practice — a name, location, contact details, opening hours where available, and links to official sources. We do not create, guess, or fill in missing information: if a field isn't listed, it's shown as "Not listed" rather than estimated.

How current it is

Practice details change — surgeries move, merge, change hours, or close. Every practice page shows a last verified date, where we hold one, so you can see when we last checked that entry. Treat the information as a starting point, not a guarantee, and always confirm the current details with the practice directly or via the RCVS register before you rely on them.

What this directory is — and isn't

This is an information directory, not a recommendation or endorsement. A practice appearing here does not mean we endorse it, and its position in search results is based only on your search terms and location filters — never on any ranking, rating, or payment.

To keep it accurate and fair, we deliberately do not include:

• reviews, ratings, or star scores
• prices or cost claims
• any disciplinary history
• information about named individuals

For a practice's registration status and any professional-conduct matters, the authoritative source is the RCVS — use the "Check RCVS register" link on each practice page.

Corrections and removals

If you run a practice and something here is wrong, out of date, or you'd like your entry corrected or removed, contact us at dataprotection@telldoug.com with the practice name and the change you'd like. We aim to respond as soon as possible, and within one calendar month at most, and will update or remove the entry.

• Any additional per-entry licence information is shown on that practice's page.

Your privacy

You don't need an account to use the finder, and we don't ask you for personal details to search. We don't build a profile of you from your searches. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Legal & privacy detail

For transparency under UK data-protection law:

• We publish this directory on the basis of our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art 6(1)(f)) in providing a useful public information service, balanced against the interests of listed practices by limiting the directory to business contact details from public sources and providing a clear correction and removal route.
• Where a practice trades under a sole practitioner's name, that name may also be personal data — which is one reason we provide the correction and removal route above.
• You may object to your practice being listed under UK GDPR Art 21 by contacting dataprotection@telldoug.com.
• To prevent abuse we hold a one-way, salted hash of each visitor's IP address for rate-limiting. The raw IP is not stored. These hashes are deleted automatically within approximately one hour.
